Find A Tailor

Sure, everyone knows you can get your pants hemmed at the dry cleaners. But what about when your threads need a little more attention? Perhaps that fabulous new suit needs fine-tuning or you’d like your own custom-designed dress shirt. How do you find a great tailor who can expertly handle a variety of complicated and specialized tasks?
First and foremost, don’t be afraid to ask around: Ask a friend, that sharp-looking dresser at work or go to a high-end department store. Once you've assembled yourself a list of recommended tailors, start doing some research.
Now that you’ve found some tailor candidates, you need to make up your mind about which one to trust with your style reputation. The following are some details you should keep in mind when conducting your search.

Experience
Start with this direct and most important question: How long have you been in business? If you want someone experienced, make sure he's not the new business on the block. Of course, everyone has to start somewhere, but do you want to be the one to take a chance?
Secondly, ask if he can provide a list of clients. There is no better reference than a satisfied customer; make sure you get at least five names, and don’t assume they’re all happy customers -- call them. If your candidate won’t or can’t give you a list, cross him off of yours; it doesn’t matter if you've heard great things about him.
Vision
Find out the tailor's personal take on fashion: Is he strictly into old-school, classic styles or can he do trendy items for you as well? Having your own fashion authority is a great tool to form your own sense of style.
See if the tailor has the same vision as you. Search magazines and bring photos of what appeals to you. Discuss fabrics and styles you prefer. Find out if he is open or resistant to your ideas; a tailor who balks at your suggestions is not the tailor for you.
Making sure your visions mesh is of the utmost importance. You need to be comfortable working with this person, so it’s best to find out from the very beginning whether this will be a pleasurable collaboration or not. You don’t want to be halfway through a suit to discover you are rubbing each other the wrong way; chances are it will show in the garment.
Samples
The only way to know the exact quality of a tailor’s work is to see it for yourself. Ask if he can provide you with samples or photos of his work, and judge for yourself if this is the kind of craftsmanship you’d like applied to your own clothing. Also, browse through some samples of the materials he works with.
Furthermore, make sure to ask him about his style of workmanship. Ask how much of the garment will be hand-sewn and how much will be machine-made. Ask him to describe the process to you so you can make a well-informed decision.
Time frame
So far, so good, but what about the wait? Check his availability and the time frame allotted to complete various projects; unrealistic, overextended time frames can be a deal-breaker. The tailor may make a great garment, but if you have to wait forever for it to be completed, it may be a good idea to visit the second tailor on your list.
Price
Once you’ve found the tailor you like best, you must find out the most important detail of all: How much does he charge? You need to listen to your wallet, but don’t go with the bargain basement either -- unless a polyester plaid ensemble is more your thing.

After interviewing your tailor candidates, take the time to review your options. A tailor's experience and his happy repeat clients are the hallmark of an expert tailor. Shy away from anyone who resists your style vision; you must be comfortable working with this person -- after all, it will be a close and personal relationship. Choose the one who most closely reflects your sense of style and taste, has a good turnaround time and offers reasonable rates.
Hand-tailoring is not inexpensive and has traditionally been in the realm of the upper class, but consider this: Who do you think looks better -- the guy in a $300 off-the-rack suit or the fellow in the hand-tailored $3,000 suit that drapes like a dream?

Classic Men’s Wallets That Never Go Out Of Style

I know not every man puts much thought into choosing the wallet he uses. After all, it’s just something that carries your cold hard cash. But to me, the wallet is arguably a man’s most essential accessory and the wallet he carries says a lot about him and his personal style.
So regardless of you’re buying a wallet for yourself or as a gift, you should really take your time to pick a good one. It’ll accompany you for many years to come.
Women are clearly spoilt for choice when it comes to handbags and small leather goods. Every season, designers crack their brain to come up the “It” bag that will be the object of every woman’s desire.
As guys, we aren’t that fortunate. We don’t have that many designers clamoring for our attention. But it doesn’t mean we don’t have choices. In fact there are men’s wallets and small leather goods that never go out of style.
I find these timeless classics very appealing because there’s always an interesting story behind its success. They may not come cheap but they’ll certainly elevate your status in the style department.
Meisterstuck by Montblanc
Montblanc turned 100 in 2006 and there are many reasons to celebrate. The success of the legendary Meisterstuck fountain pen launched in 1924 helped Montblanc become the de-facto market leader of fine writing instruments.
Today, Montblanc is more than just a maker of fine writing instruments. The company has launched its leather goods, its fine watches, eyewear, fragrance and even jewelry.
Montblanc’s foray into leather goods started in 1935 when it acquired a producer of leather ware in Germany. Riding on the success of its Meisterstuck fountain pen, Montblanc launched the Meisterstuck leather collection.
Using black calfskin fitted with its signature “star” logo, Montblanc creates a masculine line of fine leather goods that is an instant hit with its predominantly male clientele.
Must de Cartier by Cartier
Well-known for its jewelry and fine watches, Cartier is one of the top luxury brands in the world and its products are associated with very, very high price tags.
1974 was the year Cartier made a comeback in the world of leather goods with the Must de Cartier line. The color burgundy, with a slight raspberry hue, was chosen as a logical continuation to the Cartier red for this must-have collection of fine leather goods. Burgundy soon became the new black.
The influential Bordeaux color, the iconic double ‘C’ logo, and the distinctive gold hardware make the Must de Cartier line a timeless classic.
But to be honest, Must de Cartier is not for the weak-hearted. Not every guy feels comfortable carrying a burgundy wallet with gold adornments.
Monogrammed Canvas by Louis Vuitton
With more than 100 years of history, Louis Vuitton monogrammed canvas must be the classic of all classics. And no matter what Louis Vuitton does to the monogrammed canvas, it still sells like hot cakes.
They splattered the canvas with graffiti. They planted red cherries on the canvas. They painstakingly sewed the motifs on denim. And they got Takeshi Murakami who reinterpreted the motif in brilliant rainbow colors. It seems like you can’t go wrong with the monogrammed canvas.
Unfortunately they don’t have a good selection of men’s wallets in monogrammed canvas so your choices are rather limited.
Pocone Nylon by Prada
It was in 1978 when Miuccia Prada took over the dusty luggage business from her grandfather. Under her helm, Prada became a luxury powerhouse with far-reaching influence in the world of fashion.
The world took notice when Prada made a handbag out of black waterproof Pocone nylon. Fitted with its distinctive triangular logo plate, nylon never looked so good. Miuccia Prada single-handedly made nylon luxurious.
Of course, I’m not expecting you to carry the popular nylon handbag. Prada does make nice nylon wallets trimmed with cowhide for men. Although it’s now available in many different colors, black is always a classic.
Woven Leather by Bottega Veneta
Once a second-tier brand in the Gucci Group’s stable, Bottega Veneta has become the group’s rising star. With its ultra-exclusive and elitist appeal, Bottega Veneta is poised to become the next Hermes.
Recreating the brand’s popular woven bags from the 1970s, Bottega Veneta beats the trend of logomania with its handcrafted leather goods made from the finest napa leather.
And consistent with the brand’s slogan “When your own initials are enough”, you won’t be able to see any logo on the leather goods. But the beautifully woven leather, which ages very well with use, should be enough to announce that you’re carrying a Bottega.
Line D by S.T. Dupont
S.T. Dupont is so well known for its lighters that it’s easy for us to forget that Simon Tissot-Dupont founded the company in 1847 making leather briefcases for diplomats and businessmen.
The classic Line D collection of fine leather goods was launched in 1985 and featured the Dupont “D” logo in gold on black calfskin. In recent years, they also offer Line D fitted with the trendier palladium hardware. But whether it’s in gold or palladium, Line D still looks as timeless as ever.
Burberry Check by Burberry
When we think of Burberry, we invariably think of the red, camel, black and white check that has become synonymous with the brand. It’s hard to imagine that the Burberry Check actually has a humble beginning. It was introduced in 1920 as a lining to the iconic Burberry trench coat.
Burberry is enjoying a revival in recent years - all thanks to its creative director Christopher Bailey’s modern interpretation of the classic check, CEO Rose Marie Bravo’s dynamism, and Kate Moss’ star power. You just can’t go wrong with such rich Brit heritage.

Cigar Smoking Etiquette

Smoking cigars may be a great source of pleasure in your life, but the courteous smoker knows that not everyone enjoys the taste (or smell!) of a good Cuban. With the fervor of anti-smoking campaigns still in full swing, the importance of enjoying a good stogie while not offending others cannot be stressed enough. Simply remember that while you are smoking a cigar, it can be difficult to gauge the smell that others are experiencing. And don't forget that cigar smokes can leave a mighty strong residue on clothing, furniture, and even the walls! In order to enjoy your stogie without a heavy conscience, learn to become a considerate and courteous cigar smoker.

If you live with non-smokers, try to find a well-ventilated area of your residence where you can smoke comfortably. Although it may be tempting to lock yourself away in an office or bedroom, it's probably not a good idea to smoke in an enclosed area unless it has a window. Make sure you have easy access to the window. Never smoke in a closed area! You are more likely to inhale the toxic air from your own cigar. If possible, go outside to smoke. Pull up a lawn chair; relax on the porch, or any other open area where you can smoke comfortably. Get as far away as possible to non-smokers, especially children and the elderly. Remember that cigar smoke contains many carcinogens that can be easily inhaled by non-smokers.

If you must smoke a cigar outside your home, remember that the courteous and respectful smoker will only light up where legally permitted. Do no light up in a bar, hotel, or restaurant where smoking is clearly prohibited. The courteous cigar smoker will also make sure to smoke in the company of other smokers. If you are with someone who does not smoke, ask his or her permission. If they agree, be considerate about it. Make sure the smoke isn't wafting in their direction. Sit near an open window or space. Make sure the air conditioner or current is moving the smoke in their direction! Also, make sure no one around you is eating. The secondhand smoke from a discourteous smoker is a surefire way to ruin a meal.

A courteous cigar smoker will also be aware of their ashes. If you must smoke outside your home, make certain to dispose of your ashes in a safe and appropriate container. Don't forget that ashes can easily blow away, especially in lower quality cigars. Don't litter with ashes, and be careful they don't blow near anyone around you.

A call-girl's story

The world of the high-class escort is back in the news again. Lara, 29, charges clients £6,000 a day

Interview by Katy Guest, Published: 18 June 2006

Sex is too easy to get today. We live in a society where everything is easy, and that can be a turn-off. That's not what the men who contact me want. These are very wealthy and successful men, some from well-known companies, and they can get sex anywhere. They like to be challenged and want something more subtle, and the successful women in this business offer them that.

Seduction is an endangered skill, and that's my favourite part of the process. When I interact with someone, even from the first email, what we are trying to do is seduce each other. It's like a dance. I use the term " companionship" for what I do, because there is a spectrum. On one side you have straightforward sex for money, and on the other you have full-blown relationships. I see myself as being somewhere along that continuum.

I charge £6,000 a day, and spend no less than two days with a client. I do it no more than once a month. I always take time to get to know the person first - we email, have lunch and talk on the phone - so I have never been in a situation where I have felt scared. We might go to a social or business event - they introduce me as their friend from wherever- or it might be more personal and romantic. They know that we're going to get some private time afterwards, but the sex is just the icing on the cake.

Most men find me through my website, and I also have a social network of wealthy friends. I don't have a full-time job but I have things that I'm doing. The men prefer it that way, and it's important psychologically: you don't get too immersed in their world.

So much today is not clear. If you go on a date is the guy supposed to open the door for you or not? Are you supposed to offer to pay? In this sort of relationship, each party's responsibilities are clearer. I enjoy that. Men I go out with are very intelligent people, and it is a mutually stimulating environment.

I think it is a common female fantasy to be in this business. I get a lot of emails saying: "It's so exciting, I've always wanted to do it." Anyone can do it but the numbers are against it: it's like wanting to be a ballet dancer. I always wanted to do it, since I was little. It was mysterious, and I like intelligent and influential men. The women in this business are quite influential, too. I've helped people close business deals. There is that free consultation component.

I had to learn myself. About two years ago, I saw the blogging phenomenon and thought, what can I do that's novel? I thought the business was sleazy, and I wanted to make it less so. My first time I was nervous, but we had fun and still keep in touch.

An escort needs a combination of talents. You don't need to be a supermodel - I'm a tall, slim brunette, but there are more beautiful women out there. It can be intimidating for men if you are incredibly stunning. They want someone subtle, intelligent and well versed in life. They have to feel comfortable talking to you about anything, whether business or their family.

About 50 per cent are married. I've heard that sometimes their wives know. In a lot of cases they no longer have sex. Surprisingly, some women feel less threatened if a man hires someone like me than if he had an affair with his secretary. I don't see what I do as wrong. If he's married then something is dysfunctional or some part of the relationship must be broken. Maybe he can't get divorced because he's worth half a billion pounds.

I do have relationships, with clients and others. It can be tricky. I think jealousy is a human trait, and a healthy one, so I treat it on a case-by-case basis. You have to judge at what stage to tell them. Fundamentally I am a romantic person, and I don't feel that's a contradiction. I want to share as much of my life as I can with my partner, and eventually all of my life. I do want to get married. There is a strong romantic component to what I do: it's all about mystery and seduction. If we have a good time for a weekend then sometimes it is quite sad to leave.

I'm not worried that my future husband might be appalled by what I do. The men I get along with are typically very moral people but they have their own internal compass. It means they are a little unconventional, and that's why we have that fit. My past doesn't change who I am: it just makes me a little more colourful. Recently, the majority of my [non-paying] partners have known what I do - or part of it. You don't have to tell everything.

My family don't know what I do, and I would prefer them not to. My close friends know. My ability to pull it off doesn't surprise them - they know I'm good at multi-tasking - and I don't think anyone has been shocked.

For me, this is a temporary thing, although I cannot put an exact date on when I will stop. It's a very good way to learn about people - what makes them happy and sad.

I have also changed my approach to wealth: I get to see extremely wealthy people and they face the same challenges as everyone else. It makes me more philosophical. It doesn't mean anything to have an apartment in New York and a house in London and a private jet: you may be locked into an unhappy marriage or not able to find a woman to share your life with. It actually becomes harder to date - you don't know who's genuinely looking for love and who's looking at your money. For lots of young, successful men, wealth above a certain level can be a barrier to a good relationship.

The reality is that the market for this is very small. It's kind of like a bell curve. Most of the market is in the middle - straightforward sex for money. The higher end requires not just more money but more time. And in our society time is the most precious thing of all.

Forex? What is it, anyway?

The market

The currency trading (FOREX) market is the biggest and fastest growing market on earth. Its daily turnover is more than 2.5 trillion dollars. The participants in this market are banks, organizations, investors and private individuals, just like you. (click here to read full market background by Easy-Forex™).

The goods (merchandise)

Markets are places to trade goods, and the same goes with FOREX. The Forex goods are the currencies of various countries. You buy Euro, paying with US dollars, or you sell Japanese Yens for Canadian dollars. That's all.

How does one profit in Forex?

Obviously, buy cheap and sell for more! The profit potential comes from the fluctuations (changes) in the currency exchange market.

The nice thing about the FOREX market, is that regular daily fluctuations, say - around 1%, are multiplied by 100! (in general, Easy-Forex™ offers trading ratios from 1:50 to 1:200).

How risky is Forex trading?

You cannot lose more than your "margin" (your initial investment)! You may profit unlimited amounts, but you never lose more than what you initially risked. However, risk only what you can afford and is not vital for your well-being.

How do I start trading?

Register (Easy-Forex™ offers the simplest and quickest registration process, no obligation); deposit your first trading "margin" amount (credit cards are welcome, only by Easy-Forex™); start trading.

How do I monitor my Forex trading?

Online, from anywhere, anytime. You have full control to monitor status, check scenarios, change some terms in the deal, or close it.

Want to know more? Want to get on-line training? Register here (quick, no obligation), we'll be glad to guide you, every step of the way.

Good luck!

Forex trading involves substantial risk of loss, and may not be suitable for everyone.

Dating Rules for Men

You are a guy who knows how to date, you are a guy who hasn't dated in years, you are a guy who has never been successful with women. Whatever your situation there are some common dating rules to follow when venturing into the dating jungle.

by Ian McNeice

These rules are simply to protect your emotional state and to ensure even handed success. Women are trained from day one in the art of dating warfare. They have a physical and emotional arsenal that you may never hope to match. But don't be outgunned, be prepared my friends as the dating battle isn't over yet buddy.

1. Look your best. Get some decent clothes and shoes. Women always look at your shoes even if the last time you checked your Nike's out was 1996. Get clothes that fit you, suit you and are contemporary. Don't just buy one outfit, sort out your entire wardrobe. If you can't take care of yourself, how are you going to take care of her? Oh yes and buy a good well tailored suit, there is no excuse not to.

2. Get your hygiene and styling sorted out. Down to the barbers and sort out your hair, get a decent style if possible. If you don't have much hair still get down to the salon and either get your head shaved or something you can handle. Then it is off to the shops with you for good quality cologne and a grooming kit. Yes that means some expense. Men are so often criticized for smelling bad. Get into a regular showering routine and smell good always. Women appreciate it.

3. Sort out your job if you have one. Women want a man who has some ambition in life so coasting along as a skateboard instructor is generally not going to win you a real catch (by the way I love skateboarding!). Any job is better than none, but knuckle down and sort out some direction in your life. Change job if need be but at least try and look like you you have something of a career. If you have a manual job, at least have some plans to work for yourself. If you already do, then you are on the right track but know what you are about work wise and have some idea of your future because they will be asking questions about your prospects even if they pretend it isn't important. It is.

4. Get your knowledge levels up. Make sure you are up to date with current affairs, watch the news and read quality papers. Women do not appreciate stupidity and laziness is no excuse either. Current affairs are important in showing you know all about the world outside. If you travel a lot then this will help tremendously, if you don't have plans to travel, get some. Being able and willing to sort out vacations is essential in the grand scheme of things.

5. Do not extol the virtues of drinking in the bar 5 nights a week. This will never win any fair princess's heart. If you love your booze sort yourself out as there are other things in life too. Taking your lady for a drink is fine, but give them the impression that you live in there will get you absolutely nowhere - fast.

6. If you love your sport then fine,. If sport is a religion you may have a problem but everything by degrees guys. If you are serious about dating then ramming the subject of soccer, ball games or football down your date's throat will put them off in record time. Sport to the uninitiated is completely boring and shows not only sheep mentality to a woman but lack of thought, creativity or inspiration. Millions of girls love sport too and that is fine but don't make your passion into a one-sided one.

9. Never expect sex on a first date. If all you are after is sex you have come to the wrong place for reading material. If you are looking for the girl of your dreams there is nothing more sexy than a patient man. You are easily capable of waiting for the right woman so do it instead of thinking with your balls.

10. Sort out your educational knowledge of manners, courtesy and chivalry. A woman likes being treated well, particularly with respect. Lose the coarse language, the swear words, the rudeness and the laziness. Know how to eat in a top restaurant, know about fashion and jewelry and in particular flowers. Know how to hold a door open for a woman, let her go first and help her with her seat. Listen to what she says but have opinions of your own too. Show her respect and manners at every step and you should not go wrong.

11. Start listening and stop talking. Keep your date interested but don't turn into a one man entertainer. She will bore of you quickly because she wants to talk about herself too. Listen to things she tells you about her and remember them. Women love to chat so you need to learn to listen to her. Remembering things she told you will impress her by the bucketful. Fact.

12. Give up smoking now.

13. Lean to dance even if you have two left flat feet. Women love to dance and dancing is a physical contact sport (or can be). It is also romantic and sexy. You can be the world's worst dancer, I don't care. But if you stay seated when she is on that dance floor you may as well not exist. If you can join Salsa and dancing classes all the better. You don't need to be Travolta but you should have an idea of the basics of rhythm. Get started today.

Prostate Cancer - What Every Man Needs to Know

What Is Prostate Cancer?
Prostate cancer is one of the most common types of cancers in men. Prostate cancer is often found in elder men and the risk of prostate cancer increases with age. It occurs mostly among the male population of 50 years and above. In prostate cancer, cancerous cells are primary formed in the prostate that then gets transferred to other cells through the process of metastasis. Prostate cancer spreads to other parts of your body like bones.
Causes of Prostate Cancer:
Scientists still do not know the exact cause behind prostate cancer. No one knows why some people suffer with prostate cancer while others do not. Clinical researchers and scientists are working hard to find the answer of this basic question. However they are optimistic to come out with a ‘prostate cancer cause’ report very soon.
Prostate Cancer Symptoms:
There are no definite prostate cancer symptoms that can be easily noticed by the patients. Prostate cancer does not show any cancer symptom or sign at the initial stage. However, few prostate cancer symptoms have been identified by the National Cancer Institute.
These specific prostate cancer symptoms are given below:
1) Frequent urination.
2) An interrupted or weak urine flow.
3) Trouble while urination.
4) Sensation of pain while ejaculation.
5) Inability to urinate.
6) Burning sensation or pain during urination.
7) Blood in the urine or in the semen.
8) Stiffness or frequent pain in the upper thighs, lower back or hips.

These symptoms are however, not specific for prostate cancer. Therefore if you experience any of these symptoms, don’t panic- just consult a doctor.
Prostate cancer treatment: Treatment of prostate cancer depends upon factors such as the location of the tumor, general health condition of the patient, age of the patient and size of the tumor.
Prostate cancer can be treated with help of following treatment methods.
1) Surgical castration by orchidectomy: the cheapest and simplest prostate cancer treatment is orchidectomy. The only disadvantage is a psychological effect of the loss of testicles.
2) Prostate cancer can be treated with the help of oestrogen hormone and LHRH-analogues. This is a "medical castration." This prostate cancer treatment is very expensive. Oestrogen can be taken orally but oestrogen prostate cancer treatment can give rise to thrombotic complications.
3) Hormone therapy can also be used as prostate cancer cure.
4) The chemical found in black pepper, which causes the tongue to burn, sweat to pour out and eyes to water commonly called as capsaicin is thought to be helpful in prostate cancer cure. US researchers have found that capsaicin can cause human cancer cells to kill themselves. This study is guiding to the way for a new prostate cancer cure.
5) Radiotherapy can also be used for prostate cancer cure. Radiotherapy just destroys cancer cells by radiation. The method is absolutely painless. But treatment of prostate cancer with the help of radiotherapy can cause some side effects like impotence and diarrhea.
6) Brachytherapy can also be applied to cure prostate cancer. Here radioactive elements inhibit the growth of prostate cancer cells.

The Shoes That Everyone Needs In Their Wardrobe

This season, black is the new black. That's right. Black is in. Black is always in. That's one of the great things about it. Black never goes out of style. Part of its timelessness is the fact that it goes with almost anything. From jeans to a tuxedo, black always works. When it comes to shoes, all those statements still apply. You may not want to wear black shoes all the time, but no wardrobe is complete without them. Man or woman, you should own black shoes.
In the past, when people thought about black shoes they thought about formalwear. Well, that's no longer the case. These days, many athletic shoes are black. It's tough to predict popular fashions or explain them, but at some point professional athletes started switching from white shoes to black shoes. Soccer players have been wearing black sneakers for a long time. Football players and baseball players soon followed suit. But it wasn't until professional basketball players started wearing black sneakers that the trend really caught fire. Now it can be hard to find white athletic shoes. Some athletes think black shoes make you look like you're moving faster. Others point to more practical reasons. Black shoes don't show dirt and scuffs as much as light colored shoes do. Popular fashion tends to follow the lead of the elite and athletic shoes buyers are no different. Once the pros started doing it, the masses followed. Black athletic shoes match almost any color and work well in a variety of environments. Black basketball shoes look just as good with blue jeans as they do with a pair of polyester mesh basketball shorts. Women athletes are wearing black shoes, too.
Of course, their real-world female counterparts are doing the same thing. Of course, when it comes to formalwear, black shoes are an absolute necessity. Men can get away with own one pair of nice shoes and odds are that one pair of nice shoes that guys own are going to be black. You can't go wrong with a nice pair of black loafers, or oxfords, or wing-tips, or even formal boots. Black dress shoes are integral to that classic black tuxedo. They go great with jeans and a blazer for that rugged, yet chic look. When attending a funeral, those black shoes will work perfectly.
Women, too, need a nice pair of formal black shoes. Unlike most men, it's probable that women will have more than one pair of nice black shoes. Whether they're flats or high heels, a lady must have some black shoes to choose from to go with that elegant evening gown, beautiful cocktail dress, alluring skirt, professional pants suit, and even blue jeans.
Don't forget to invest in some shoe polish for your black formal shoes. This will keep them shiny and in good condition.
You can't go wrong with a pair of black shoes, whether it's for formal occasions, knocking the stuffing out of a baseball, or hanging out at your favorite bar.

Tequila cocktails

Tequila - a fine, complex liquor that is best when sipped slowly. Traditionally it is served warm in order to appreciate its wonderful flavor. Most tequilas are served in a "caballito", a 2oz glass made exclusively for this purpose. Blanco and Reposado can be served with "sangrita", a tomato and orange juice mix with salt and chile. Añejo is served in a snifter so that its aroma is fully appreciated. The tequila shot with lime and salt is made from Hollywood and few people drink it that way. Some people do put lime juice in the tequila or bite the lime before sipping it. It is a matter of taste. You should choose the right tequila for your cocktail and enjoy it.
Margarita
The Margarita is a great cocktail when it is made correctly. Avoid using bottled lime-juice since it adds an overly sweet taste. The use of fresh limes hand picked at the supermarket is best. The best ones should be a bit soft when you squeeze them since these might have the most juice. Mexican limes are small in size but they do have an incomparable taste.
2 ounces tequila
1 ounce Triple Sec
1/2 ounce Mexican lime juice
If you want a lighter Margarita:
1.5 ounces tequila
3/4 ounce Triple Sec
1/2 to 1 ounce Mexican lime juice
Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. You might strain the mixture or pour it into a salt-rimmed margarita glass. To get the salt to stick to the glass pour fine salt on a plate, then run a lime wedge around the lip of a Margarita glass and lightly press it against the salt.
You may use Cointreau, Grand Marnier, Mandarin Napoleon, or Midori instead of Triple Sec. If you want a strong agave flavor use a Blanco tequila. For a milder taste use Reposado. If you are giving a party use Gold as it costs less.
Bloody Mary
1-1/2 ounces tequila
One glass of tomato juice
Add salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce to taste
Garnish with a celery stalk and lemon slice.
Blanco 100% agave is great for a Bloody Mary. It is the drink of choice the morning after a hangover. You may try Clamato instead of tomato juice, or half-and-half. Some people squeeze half a lemon into the mix to add flavor.
Dynamite
1 ounce Reposado tequila
1 ounce Blanco tequila
1 ounce Clamato juice
Pour contents into glass. Add one-half teaspoon of Tabasco sauce and the juice of one half lime. Mix contents and add crushed ice, and salt to taste.
Petroleo
1-1/2 ounces tequila
1 ounce Mexican lime juice
1 serrano chile halved from top to bottom
Pour the tequila and lime juice into a small glass. Add salt, pepper, Maggi sauce and Worcestershire sauce to taste. Mix ingredients. Add one half of the serrano chile and one or two ice cubes. Use Blanco or Reposado tequila.
Tequila Sour
1-1/2 onces tequila
2 ounces lemon juice
1 teaspoon sugar
Blend ingredients with crushed ice and strain into sour glass. Garnish with a red cherry. Use Añejo for a better taste.
Tequila Sunrise
2 measures of ice-cold tequila
4 measures of orange juice
1 measure of grenadine (or less if you prefer)
Pour orange juice in a highball glass and then pour the ice-cold tequila slowly tilting the glass to get a layered effect. Trickle grenadine on top. You should get a perfect sunrise. Garnish stirrer, straw and cherry-orange.
Sangrita Chaser
Sangrita is a typical spicy and refreshing non-alcoholic chaser made of fresh orange juice, grenadine and chile piquín or a mix of different chiles. Sangrita is the Spanish diminutive for “blood” and is served in a “caballito”. It is used as a chaser after a shot of tequila.
4 cups of freshly squeezed orange juice
1/4 to 1/2 cup of fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon of grenadine syrup
tablespoon salt
Chile piquín to taste: try first 1/4 tablespoon
As with any recipe you may vary the quantities for each ingredient to suit your taste. Some people add fresh tomato juice to increase the red coloration of the Sangrita. You may try chile de arbol or Tabasco sauce. You may also add a bit of black ground pepper.

Fashionable Watches To Style Up Your Life

You will probably agree that a watch is a very important thing in defining anyone’s style. No fancy suit can be complete without a trendy watch, so if you don’t have at least one by now, you must absolutely add it on your to-do list.
The latest in men’s fashion brings up a very large range of watches to choose from. Whether it is a watch with white face and a black leather or a stainless steel band, it will most surely brighten up your life. It can change your image for the better and you will feel more comfortable with yourself.
For the ones seeking attention and envious looks, a funky watchstrap will be more than enough to achieve your goals.
Bright, multicolored, nylon straps are popping up on watches everywhere, and make for a great sporty look to add to your jeans or track pants and sweatshirt. The strap can be made of nylon, for instance. Nothing will look nicer than a multicolored strap to add charm to your timepiece, not to mention the colors in the watch face! The only thing you must think about when buying such a watch is that you can never wear it to a business suit!
Should you choose leather for your watch, you can be certain that you have made the right decision. Leather seems to be the king of the fashion world, whether it is in the form of jackets or pants and of course, as a watchstrap. You may also combine a leather watchstrap with a leather wristband!
If you want to be misterious and interesting touch to your evening outfit, you can choose to conceal the time with a popular watch that features a face covered by a steel flap. Not to speak about adding an element of originality to your timepiece! The main point is that no matter if you decide upon a stainless steel or leather strap, this style is a very good way to hide your true intentions.
Not sure whether to choose a classical or a modern watch? You can have them both! The modern watches are not a bit like the ones we are used to. Their face shape and time display can be very strange at first glance, but what does it matter when your only purpose is standing out from the crowd?
For your business casual look, a tan strap gives a watch a more casual appearance, while the shape and style of the face will lend it a modern and minimalist appeal.
So, no matter how much money you want to spend for a new watch, you will always have a lot to choose from! Don’t be afraid to try something new for a change!

Starting Model Helicopter Hobby

If you cannot afford to buy full size Schweizer 300 or a Robinson R22 or any private helicopter being sold on the market, but have a great desire to own a helicopter or have a great interest on helicopters, there is one thing that suites you best: buying, building, and collecting model helicopters.
From kids and kids at heart, collecting model helicopters has become one of the more popular hobbies. Some collect model helicopters that really fly. There are those who prefer to build model helicopters by themselves to add to their ever-growing collection.
Imagine a display of all the types of helicopters produced over the years lining side by side in one room.
If you want to start the hobby, you can start on one model and start from there. You have several options. You can either go for flying model helicopters. You can also start with a scale-model plastic helicopter. There are model helicopters that are made from wood.
If you prefer real flying model helicopters, you still have several options. You can either go for gas rc helicopter or electric rc helicopter. Usually, beginners tend to buy electric helicopter because it is much cheaper than gas rc's. It is also easy to fly and less complicated. But if you thing you can handle the noise and if you are up for the thrill of the engined model helicopter, then gas rc is for you although it may cost you more both on maintenance and initial cost.
If you prefer building model helicopter for your personal gallery, then you have several helicopter models to choose from. Scale models such as Mi-28 HOVOC, Augusta A-109, Whirlwind, Mangusta, Huey Hog, AH-6J, Mi-24 Hind, Bell 412, SH-60B, RAH-66, 500D CHP, EC-135 Eurocopter and more are just waiting to be build by your own hands.
If you prefer military helicopters, you can get scale models such as FL 282, H-25, S-55, Rotodyne, Bo 102, H-1 Huey, Sea King, Mi-2, OH-6, Filper, H-46, Chinook, AH-56, Mi-24, Mi-26, Ka-27, XV-15, Bell 206, Puma, XCH-62, S-67, Blackhawk, Apache, Lama, S-72, Dauphin, Mi-28, Mangusta, Ka-50, Super Cobra, Tiger, NH-90, OH-1, V-22, ALH, and Comanche.
These models are also available in woodcarvings carefully handcrafted to come out as a perfect replica of the original helicopter. It can cost at around $100 to $500 depending on the type of wood used and how much detail was put to the model. Meanwhile plastic models could cost around $7 to as much as $50 while the rc model helicopters could cost at around $100 to over $1000. Helicopters are measured in terms of passenger capacity, comfort, versatility, speed, and of course cost.
Choosing the right one for you depends on these criteria. For example, if you want a cost effective helicopter strictly for personal use, you can take the Schweizer 300 or the Robinson R22 (helicopter for 2). It has basic comfort and few features. The exact opposite are the McDonnell-Douglas 500, Enstrom Shark, and the Agusta 109A. They are fast and more convenient to fly.
In between these 2 extremes are Eurocopter Squirrel and the Bell Jet Ranger. These are single turbine-engined helicopter that are more commonly used for filming work and charter flying. The Eurocopter Squirrel and the Bell Jet Ranger are agile, fast, and comfortable, but are constrained to fly on a fair weather. This is not the case with the Sikorsky S76 and The Eurocopter Dauphin 2 which can fly at 200mph and can accommodate up to 14 people safely and comfortably.
With these, we can narrow down your selection into 3:
Light Piston-engined Types - If you want a cheap personal helicopter that could sit for two, the Schweizer 300 or the Robinson R22 would be your choice. They can fly at the speed of 80-110 mph. With a seating capacity and small size, these helicopters are light, easy to fly, and easy to maneuver. Surprisingly, the light piston-engined helicopters use a more expensive fuel than that of the kerosene based turbine engines but they consume less fuel. However, the Schweizer 300 or the Robinson R22 is less buyable for charter and corporate use. They are more popular, however, on training and personal use.
Light turbine helicopters - McDonnell Douglas 500E, Eurocopter Squirrel and the (Agusta) Bell Jet Ranger are widely used around the world for its practicality and mid-range amenities, comfort, size, speed, versatility and price. Private owner often prefer light turbine helicopters among other types for these given reasons. The look is sporty and performance is almost perfect (if not perfect).
Twin Engined Helicopters - Stronger, safer, faster and more versatile helicopters are the likes of the Dauphin, Sikorsky S-76, Agusta 109, and Eurocopter Twin Squirrel. These are powered by 2 engines and can go places that other smaller helicopters can't go. These are far better choice for high-end market with high price bracket.

How To Choose A Public Relations Agency

Public relations is a very important part of the marketing mix. A successful PR campaign provides third-party endorsement of products or services which is something no other marketing element can deliver. Many people think that once a company starts advertising, editors beat a path to your door. In some cases, that actually does happen, but it's not the norm.

by Diane T. Creston

Public relations is very different from advertising. One main differrence is that you can't buy media placement. The story is either newsworthy, or it's not. Paid placement is called advertising.
Both marketing elements are important, but public relations can sometimes be a slow build. Results don't happen in a few weeks or in a month, especially with the three month lead time needed for magazines print deadlines. When dealing with television, newspapers or radio, the three month lead time is not an issue, but competition is an issue.
There have been situations where we've had an instant success story. We created a museum event in Philadelphia at a small children's museum that was an incredible media success story. Every newspaper, ethnic publication and television station showed up for this event. Over the years, we've also had a number of press conferences with tons of media coverage the next day. This is expecially true if the news is sensational or the product is very popular at retail.
In one case, we generated thousands of stories for a client, but we were trying to generate an article in a major business paper. Nothing worked. The editor was interested, but he didn't understand the point we were using as the "hook" for the story. When we finally drove home the point of differrence between mass market retailers and specialty retailers, he wrote the story and it was fantastic. Our story ended up on the front page of the business section minus one column, but it took months and months of work.
Many clients don't understand the PR process. For example, when I was handling the marketing for a major children's line of licensed apparel, the client had signed the advertising contract, but not the public relations contract. He just didn't understand the entire subject and finally asked for a meeting to discuss things. Shortly into the meeting, this charming, grandfatherly gentleman looked at me with a straight face and said, "Why do I have to pay for this, doesn't it just happen?"
At first, I thought he was kidding, but then I could see that he simply didn't understand the process, or the discipline. After a rather lengthy discussion, he signed the contract. The campaign was a big success and so was the clothing line.
Some clients don't have the budget for the entire marketing mix of trade advertising, consumer advertising, sales promotion, web site development and PR. Many will start with PR and trade advertising and then increase their marketing budget over time.
How To Choose An Agency
When you are ready to consider an agency, what should you look for in a PR team? For starters, the chemistry has to be there. You also need experience and media connections. Don't hesitate to ask for client references. Once you have them, pick up the phone and make some calls.
Don't assume that the new business people will service your account. If there is one account person that you feel has the expertise you need, consider requesting that this individual be the point person on your account. The agency should be willing to agree to this request in your written contract. Beware of bait and switch, where you are courted by the new business people who will never be seen again after the contract is signed.
What You Can Expect
Some points to remember:
* Nothing kills a bad product faster than excellent PR and advertising. Customers may purchase the product once and then, that's it.
* When products are photographed, the samples must be in perfect condition. The camera picks up and magnifies very tiny flaws. Retouching is expensive, so be careful when you select product samples for photography.
* PR is not a tool used to force retail distribution. If you try it, the move will come back to haunt you. When an editor asks for information about the retail distribution of a product and/or service, the PR agency had better have answers or the ability to obtain the answers quickly. Reporters and editors always manage to call for this information when they are on deadline so everything is a rush. A response such as we're planning to open outlets soon in your area is not the correct answer.
Put yourself in the editor's place. He/she is interested in writing about your product and the readers expect to be able to find the item in local stores, on respected web sites, or in catalogs. If they can't do any of the above, the editor will not write about the product.
I have had consumers track me down because they wanted a specific product and could not find it at the retail store mentioned in the article because the item had sold out. One Christmas, I was practically running a mail order operation out of the agency because frantic consumers were calling for one specific product that did not have wide retail distribution.
* Trade books usually publish one month in advance. Consumer books publish three, yes three months in advance. If you're hoping for a December magazine story, you'd better start planning in July or August.
* If your agency is creative, it will come up with innovative "hooks" for your products or services.
PR is a wonderful marketing tool, but you must understand the basics to understand how it can work for your company.

Bluetooth: 10 Benefits

People who use Bluetooth technology, swear by it. Every user trumpets the benefits of Bluetooth; but are these benefits worth the investment?

by Donald Brown

Review the ten top benefits of Bluetooth, and decide if grabbing on to this technological trend is right for you.
1. Wireless Convenience
There are many benefits of using wireless devices. The basic plus to going wireless is enjoying the freedom to work or communicated without being tied down. You can travel freely and stay connected, without the hassle of connection cables. There is a safety factor to consider as well. Bluetooth technology eliminates the risk of getting tangled with wires if, for example, you're wrestling with a wired headset while trying to drive a car.
2. Instant Gratification
Using Bluetooth devices allows you the freedom to communicate without setting up connections or pushing buttons. When two or more Bluetooth devices enter a range of 30 feet or less, they will instantly begin to communicate with each other. There's nothing more that you need to do.
3. Budget Friendly
The benefits of Bluetooth also extend to your pocketbook. Bluetooth technology is inexpensive for companies to implement. Lower costs lead to lower corporate overhead, and the savings may well be passed on to customers like you.
4. Sets the Standard
Bluetooth is standardized wireless. This means that the technology is guaranteed to meet a high level of compatibility with other wireless devices. Bluetooth technology allows many different devices to connect and communicate, even if they are different models.
5. Less Interference
Bluetooth devices are almost always able to avoid interference from other wireless devices. The Bluetooth uses a technology known as frequency hopping, as well as low power wireless signals.
6. Conserves Energy
Bluetooth uses low power signals, so the technology requires very little energy. One of the most practical benefits of Bluetooth you'll find is in using fewer batteries or less electrical power. Bluetooth won't drain the batteries on mobile devices.
7. Shared Data and Voices
The standard for Bluetooth technology allows compatible devices to share data and voice communications. Of all the benefits of Bluetooth this is most important to drivers who need to talk hands-free on their cellphones.
8. Instant Personal Area Network
You can form your own PAN (personal area network) by connecting up to seven Bluetooth devices within a range of up to thirty feet. Multiples PANS, or piconets, can be set up within a single room
9. Upgrade
Technology is constantly being upgraded, and Bluetooth is ready to comply with whatever changes may come along. Newer versions of Bluetooth are now being released, offering even more advantages. Many have backward compatibility with older Bluetooth versions.
10. Technology For Keeps
Bluetooth technology is used and available worldwide. It's a universal standard that will be around for many years to come. As more and more devices implement Bluetooth technology, more manufacturers will find it necessary to make their products compatible. The "supply and demand" chain reaction has already set Bluetooth as a standard in cutting-edge wireless.

There are more benefits to Bluetooth; just ask anyone who uses this wireless wonder. Find out more about Bluetooth, and then decide if the benefits of Bluetooth can help make your life a little easier.

The Basics of Dividends

What exactly are dividends? You've heard that you can make money by investing in companies that pay dividends, but how does that work?

By: Martin Lukac

When companies make profits, they often distribute a portion of the profits to the shareholders. The company will retain a portion of the profits for future use. Some companies hold a large portion back while others are generous in their dividend payments -- it depends on where the company is and how well it is doing financially.
Dividends are often in the form of cash, yet some companies issue stock instead. Stocks that have a good history of paying dividends are attractive to investors. These companies are solid and profitable, but often offer little growth potential in their stock. The dividend actually gives an investor a reason to purchase the stock.
The company is under no obligation to pay a dividend. There isn't a preset amount that they must pay stockholders. The company board of directors determines the dividend amount. If the company is in financial trouble or facing an overhaul, the board has every option to forego the dividend. One of the warning signs that a company is in trouble is the elimination of dividend payments.
The dividend is set at a per share basis. For example, the board may decide on a $0.30 dividend per share. If you own 1,000 shares of stock, you will get a check for $500. If you own 100 shares of stock, you can expect a check for $50.
The board sets the dividend and announces when stockholders can expect checks at the declaration date. The ex-dividend date will also be announced at this time. The list of shareholders to receive the dividend will be set on the record date. If you want to get the dividend, you must own the stock before this date.
The ex-dividend date falls a couple of days before the record date. This date allows for the completion of pending transactions. If you want to own the stock and receive the dividend, you need to have your transaction through by this date. After the ex-dividend date, the market will discount the stock's price because the dividend will no longer be available to buyers.
The payment date is when the company actually mails the checks. This usually occurs two weeks after the record date.
There are two types of dividends: fixed and variable. Fixed rate dividends go to the owners of preferred stock. Common stock holders receive variable dividends.
Dividends are a great way to make money and often offer a fairly steady income if the stocks are chosen wisely. Many investors find that buying stocks with a good history of dividend payments is good for the growth of their portfolios.

Investing in a Bahamas Property

Exuma is a string of islands and cays, home to forgotten hideaways, natural harbors, secluded beaches and a coastline of over a hundred miles of clear, blue water. Exuma is a nature lover's paradise preserved in its original pristine setting. In recent years, The Bahamas has become one of the world’s financial centers, with over 400 banks located in Nassau, its capital.

By: Pasquale Lo Mascolo

The country’s open economic policy has drawn capital from around the world, and is now a hot real estate market. Bahamas property has become of great interest to investors and a haven for those wanting to own private homes surrounded by the wonders of nature. Local realtors see no end in sight with regards to the increasing demand for Bahamas property.
Buying Bahamas property
In 1993, the Bahamas government enacted a law encouraging non-Bahamians to acquire real estate in any of the 21 districts. It also allows property owners and their dependents to apply for an annual resident card or permanent residency. It is now easier than ever to own a piece of Caribbean paradise. Contact one of the country’s numerous realtors to help you find that perfect spot. Visit The Bahamas Real Estate Association for a complete list of certified agents and details on purchasing Bahamas property. Prior Government approval is not required for non-Bahamians who want to purchase residential properties of less than five acres, although they are required to be registered with the Investments Board and the Central Bank. Another option is to buy property directly at a development. On the island of Great Exuma for example, see Oceania Properties (http://www.oceaniaproperties.com/), February Point (http://www.februarypoint.com/), or Crab Cay (http://www.crabcay.com/) for some luxury properties.
An enticing investment
As the world’s premier tax haven, The Bahamas offers the perfect investment opportunity as there is no personal, corporate, income, capital gains, estate, gift or inheritance taxes. Easy access to major world markets, as well as political stability and security are the advantages of business in The Bahamas. Investors are also attracted to the stability of the economy, which is steadied by the solid value of the Bahamian dollar (pegged to the U.S. dollar on a 1:1 ratio). The benefits of renting
Having a corporate or personal address in the Bahamas provides opportunities to live an exclusive island lifestyle while generating tax-free income. As you enjoy the benefits of a vacation home in The Bahamas, your investment appreciates. When you are not there basking in the sun, you can consider renting out your Bahamas property. The rental segment of the market is huge as many visitors flock to the islands every year in search of a little rest and relaxation. Luxury condos, houses and villas generate top dollars for their owners. Many realtors and property managers agree that renting a property is a great idea since it helps the owners defray some of the costs associated with owning and maintaining their properties. There are rental pools that you can join whereby property managers will oversee all of the administrative details associated with renting. You have no worries, no headaches, and best of all, your home in the sun is well-maintained and available to you at the drop of a hat.
In order to preserve the culture and tranquility of the island, Exuma has regulated that no more than 30% of the island may be developed. Luxury rental properties in Exuma generally offer complete privacy, are exquisitely furnished, and include first-rate amenities. Purchasing a Bahamas property either as a vacation destination or as a rental property offers the advantages of numerous commercial flights, private airports, and close proximity to the United States. Feel right at home in The Bahamas.

The Art Of Approaching Women

All male-female relationships began at some point as a meeting between two strangers. In most societies and circumstances, it is the male who is responsible for explicitly initiating such a meeting, although the female may well be complicit to a greater or lesser extent. Here we discuss specifically the art of approaching women in evening venues such as bars and night-clubs.
Bars and night-clubs are venues where people go to meet those of the opposite sex. Although a woman may present her agenda as going out 'dancing' with her friends, she is there specifically for the potential of a meeting with a suitable male. Her agenda- and her friends- are there to protect her from the many unsuitable males who may present themselves through the course of an evening.
Given this, a woman will often pursue her subconscious agenda of meeting a male she finds attractive by making it easier for him to approach her. Usually she does this through proximity- she stands or sits close to the male she likes. Sometimes her interest will manifest itself more explicitly as an 'invitation to approach', which may take the form of a smile, prolonged eye contact, or an actual verbal introduction. The first step in the art of approaching women is for the male to develop a sensitivity for these female ploys, many of which may- understandably, for fear of rejection- be rather subtle.
Even without any invitations to approach, men should be able to quickly generate interest from scratch by observing a few social rules in the venue. The first of these is known as the "three-second rule", where a man ensures the spontaneity of his intitial contact with a group of strangers by approaching that group within three seconds of first seeing them. There may be occasions when this is impractical, but in general this is a useful rule of thumb because it gets the man outside of his head, and within a short time of entering the venue he should have engaged a decent proportion of people there. He will no longer be a stranger, but very much part of the party.
A man who is having fun, talking to a lot of people, and generating a good energy about himself, is creating what we call 'positive social proof'. People's- and especially girls'- radars pick up on this, and he may find more approach invitations coming his way, or sets he opens opening more easily. On the other hand, a man who is walking around the venue in a predatory way, not smiling, or standing with his friends checking out from a distance potential targets often generates negative social proof. People see him as uncomfortable and avoid him.
Practising working a venue is the foundation stone for any successful pick-up artist, and it should become a fun and indispensable ingredient of his social toolkit. Go out, have fun, and be positive with people, and the positive rewards will be commensurate.

Good Golf Etiquette

Few other sports depend so greatly on the integrity and good temperament of the players than golf. Unlike other sports, golf does not depend on the supervision of referees or umpires. Players are expected to both understand the rules and etiquette of the game. Golf is a game that relies not only on skill and talent, but also on proper conduct and sportsmanship. Good etiquette on the green will ensure maximum enjoyment of the game for all players.
Golf is gentleman’s and gentlewoman’s sport. Players should take the time to study the rules of the game. The rules serve to improve the game by sustaining the pace of play, maintaining the quality of the golf course, and ensuring the safety of the players. The spirit of the game depends on players demonstrating discipline and sportsmanship at all times regardless of how competitive they are. If you are new to the game, or just need to refresh your golf etiquette, here are some basic considerations that will help keep the game enjoyable for you and those around you.
Golfers must always play without delay, in order to maintain the pace of the game. The pace of the game requires players to ready to hit the ball when their turn arrives. The order of play is always the farthest from the whole first. Players should carry two uniquely marked balls. In order to reduce the time for taking a shot, players should study the shot while the other players are preparing to hit. A player should always hit the shot within 45 seconds of the previous player’s stroke. Golfers should never crowd the previous group or lag behind.
On the green, golfers must fix their ball marks with care. They should not leave bare ground or smooth surface where the ball mark was. Golfers should never dig under a ball mark or leverage the soil upward. Players should always remove the peg from the tee after hitting. It is a breach of etiquette to leave a tee or push the tee into the ground. On the bunkers, players should leave the bunker as they found it. A few strokes of the rake will smooth the sand and remove any trace of footprints. The golden rule is to leave the golf course as the player found it and avoid excessive damage.
Although golf is not a contact sport, players must avoid injuring themselves or fellow golfers. One player is permitted on the tee at a time. Players should never stand behind a golfer on the tee or anywhere on the course. Players should always be mindful of the group in front of them. If a golfer is hitting is the direction of other players, the golfer should shout the traditional warning of “fore”.
Golf etiquette is an essential part of the game. Consideration of other golfers is absolutely required. Players must be still and silent while other players are hitting. Disturbing or distracting another player is simply unacceptable and contradictory to the spirit of the game. Four Fabulous Energy Management Secrets

Some people practice their golf swing, lines for a play, recitals, and many other things. There are many things I too practice but one thing I practice even more consistently is energy management.
So what exactly is energy management? In this case, it’s not managing coal or natural gas reserves, it’s about how we manage ourselves during times of stress and anxiety; when our energy isn’t grounded, and our thinking scattered; when our minds are too full of everyday stuff to think clearly.
The secret to dealing with these times are through employing a selection of energy management techniques that have worked exceptionally well for me and which I’d now like to share with you.

The first energy management technique is to learn to be in the present moment.
This is the foundation for all other energy management techniques. Be in the present moment and you’ll balance energies of thoughts scattered in the past and future which rob us of the many wonderful experiences to be had in the here and now.
To begin find a comfortable spot to sit and do nothing except become aware of the rise and fall of your chest as you breathe in, and out.
Using your five senses, focus and notice what is happening inside and outside your body.
* Became aware of the sounds you hear, eg people, traffic, music, inside your body, and anything else that is around you.
* Become aware of colours around you, of your clothing, furniture, the seat you’re sitting on, the colours surrounding the windows and doors within your line of sight.
* Start massaging your palms and notice the lines in your palms, does your skin feel dry, smooth, or rough. Massage the tops of your hands.
* When you have conversations with others, be there with them. Listen attentively; match their tone, speed, volume and pitch, also their breathing rate and if they smile, smile in return. People can sense when you’re not paying attention to them.
When you go through this exercise retain your focus for at least three minutes because the longer you stay focused the longer you’ll get used to being in the ‘now’.

The second energy management technique is to become mindful.
‘Mindfulness’ can mean:
* Paying attention to our bodies, mind, and spirit, from within and outside our selves, in an objective, non-judgmental way.
* Acceptance.
* Awareness of emotional patterns.
Learn to observe yourself in a non-judgemental way through a ‘mindfulness’ exercise.
To begin, get into a comfortable position, become relaxed and start noticing what is happening to your body, inside and outside without passing judgement on what you find.
* Notice and become aware of feelings, emotional and physical, inside and out.
* Become aware of what you see, colours, images, moving pictures, or even words or numbers.
* What do you hear, inside and out, volume, tone, positive or negative, etc?
* Also become aware of any tastes or smells and notice physiological changes as you notice these senses.
Expand this exercise as much as you want to. All it requires is for you to be objective and notice what you notice about yourself. When you have completed this exercise you can then choose to deal with any issue you become aware of.

Next we have the third energy management technique, ‘letting go’
Have you ever wanted something so badly it hurt? I know I have, and it was only by letting go of me ‘wanting’ something that I managed to attract it. Quite a paradox really – let go to receive.
Wanting creates an energy pull which acts much like two magnets of the same polarity – the two never meet. Maybe you’ve already experienced such a play of energy. If not, next time you’re sitting quietly think of something that you really want badly, fully experience this wanting then notice the energy it takes to produce this wanting.
When you release this pull it signals to the Universe that the door has been opened to receive what is needed.
Letting go however doesn’t necessarily mean giving up and walking away. When we let go of the energy pull of ‘wanting’ we give it up to a higher power, the Universe, or whatever it is for you. While you do this continue to work towards achieving whatever you want your outcome to be. It’s much like putting your stresses to one side while you go about doing what needs doing.
Time and time again whenever I’ve released and let go of something, the Universe somehow got wind of it and sent me unexpected abundance. I love the way it works!

Last but not least is the fourth fabulous energy Management secret – Meditation.
This would have to be my all-time favourite and something I do for at least 20 minutes each morning before starting work, more if I have time.
Meditation can provide greater clarity in:
* Understanding ourselves.
* Understanding the big picture stuff.
* Discovering never-ending possibilities.
* Clearness.

And can facilitate:
* Greater life balance.
* Less stress.
* Better health and wellbeing.
* The creation of better personal and business relationships.

You could easily start a meditation program with the help of a good meditation book or by joining a local group.
So there you have it in a nutshell; Four Fabulous Energy Management Secrets. If you’re new to these techniques allow yourself a little time to practise until you become familiar and comfortable with them and then notice how much better life can be.

Barcelona Sightseeing

Barcelona has a lot to be proud of. A city literally stuffed with spectacular architecture, historical and cultural places of interest, fantastic food and a vibrant nightlife, it is no wonder tourists flock to the area. There is more to Catalunya than Barcelona sightseeing however, including a glorious coastline, beautiful mountains and a fierce independent spirit that will be felt by even the least informed visitor.

Make sure you have a map detailing the places of interest when you arrive in Barcelona; it is surprisingly easy to get lost in Barcelona’s bustling streets. A good place to start your tour is Gaudi’s Park Guell, an open space filled with pieces of Gaudi’s work including benches, archways, walls and balconies. It is a place where Gaudi’s imagination really ad free reign, and you feel almost that the works of art are more natural than the plants and trees.
From here you can move easily on to Gaudi’s iconic work, the Sagrada Familia. This church was started in 1882 but was not finished when Gaudi died in 1926. Various attempts have been made to complete the work to Gaudi’s designs but the church is still not entirely finished and probably never will be. If you don’t think you can capture the spirit of the church in your own photographs, you might want to check out the stunning images available in postcard stands that surround the building.
The Barcelona zoo was founded in 1892 and is located in the Ciutadella Park, next to the old town or Ciutat Vella. This is a great place to visit especially of you have children that are likely to lose interest in architecture and history. Some of the seven and a half thousand animals on display include pelicans, American buffalos and red kangaroo, as well as a specialist primate collection which the zoo is famous for.
There is an aquatic park within the zoo that provides a home to bottlenose dolphins among others. Dolphin shows can be seen throughout the warm summer months, and this can make a refreshing escape from the heat of the city. An acclaimed research program at Barcelona zoo is well known for sympathetic breeding of animals in captivity and protection of endangered species, which would otherwise become extinct.
The main avenue in Barcelona, La Rambla is a riot of color and bustle with flower stalls and street performers at regular intervals along the promenade. The main hotels and restaurants center around La Rambla, but you may get a better deal and more authentic dishes if you explore a little further out. One place not be missed is the Boqueria, a fantastic food market to one side of La Rambla, with exotic delicacies you have never even imagined.
The port area received a face lift with the Olympics in Barcelona in 1992. The Olympic village was situated right on the coast and the area is marked by the dual towers of the Arts Hotel, Mapfre Towers and Nova Icaria Square. The main Olympic sites can be found on top of Montjuic, a hill overlooking the city, and can be reached by cable car.

Introduction to Hedge Fund

Although there is no universally accepted definition of the term hedge fund, the term has evolved over time to include a multitude of skill-based investment strategies with a broad range of risk and return objectives. The common element among these strategies is the use of investment and risk management skills to seek positive returns regardless of market direction.
Hedge funds are an exciting innovation to the range of professionally managed investment vehicles that have brought sophisticated investment strategies and a new sense of excitement to the investment community. They can serve as an important risk management tool for investors by providing valuable portfolio diversification. One might define a hedge fund as an information-motivated fund that hedges away all or most sources of risk not related to the price-relevant information available for speculation.
Hedge funds use a wide variety of investment styles and strategies. Even among hedge funds that purport to use the same investment strategy or invest within the same asset class, there is a wide range of investment activities, performance and risk levels. Because the investment activities of hedge funds are so diverse, the hedge funds assigned to a particular investment category are likely to exhibit less similarity than more traditional investment vehicles, such as registered investment companies.
The investment strategies are typically designed to protect investment principal and engage in a variety of investment techniques that include fixed income securities, convertible securities, currencies, exchange-traded futures, over-the-counter derivatives, futures contracts, commodity options and other non-securities investments in order to generate specific risk-return profiles.
Strategies may be designed to be market-neutral (very low correlation to the overall market) or directional (a "bet" anticipating a specific market movement). Selection decisions may be purely systematic (based upon computer models) or discretionary (ultimately based on a person). A hedge fund may pursue several strategies at the same time, internally allocating its assets proportionately across different strategies.
Hedge funds are often classified according to investment style including following categories: relative value, event-driven, equity hedge funds, global asset allocators and short selling. Within each style category, funds are then classified according to the underlying markets traded. For example, within the relative value style classification, there are a number of sub-groups, including equity market neutral, fixed income arbitrage, convertible arbitrage, credit arbitrage and statistical arbitrage.
Various hedge fund return opportunities stem from the expanded universe of securities available to trade and the strategies that can be employed. Funds can access both financial and non-financial (commodity) markets and can easily take long, short, spread, and option positions in any of these markets. Expanding the set of investment opportunities results in providing diversification benefits to a portfolio that cannot be replicated through traditional stock, bond, and real estate investment strategies.

For alternative investments, such as hedge funds, to grow as an investment alternative, individuals need to increase their knowledge and comfort level as to their use in investment portfolios. The logical extension of using investment managers with specialized knowledge of traditional markets to obtain maximum return/risk tradeoffs is to add specialized managers who can obtain the unique returns in market conditions and types of securities not generally available to traditional asset managers; that is, hedge funds. In addition, investors must compare the unique returns available to each of the hedge fund styles to insure that the particular style does not duplicate existing investment opportunities.
